Our Mission
The Glen Allen High School Counseling Department’s mission aligns with that of the school: To develop 21st century citizens who can achieve their full potential as lifelong learners with a commitment to their community, state, and nation which will enable them to meet the challenges of change. As advocates, school counselors will assist students in achieving their full potential by providing a school counseling program focusing on the developmental needs of students in the realms of academic, personal/social, and career planning. In doing so, the school counseling program will collaborate with administration, faculty, staff, the community, and parents in an effort to educate and empower the student and parent to help develop a true lifelong learner and respected citizen.
